Shining a light on staff employed by GYR partners
The Partnership opened its first window to access funding from the £12.2M core project funding in May 2025, part of which is to provide support GYR partners with funding for early project development and staffing.
We would like to take this opportunity to thank John Cave at YWT for all his work on the GYR partnership.
At the start of August, YWT welcomed Stephen Collier (pictured), who has taken over the role. He has previously worked on water quality on the Derwent as part of his MSc. His PhD involved working with the EA and other researchers looking at installed prototype fish pass designs, radio tracking eels and looking at the effectiveness of ‘fish friendly’ pumping station adaptations. We are looking forward to the addition his skills and knowledge will bring to develop on from the great work John began.
