Team Spotlight - Kate Colledge, Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trust

Shining a light on staff employed by GYR partners

The Partnership opened its first window to access funding from the £12.2M core project funding in May 2025, part of which is to provide support GYR partners with funding for early project development and staffing.

Kate Colledge was the first member of staff to be employed through the fund, joining Yorkshire Dales Rivers Trust in November 2025 as a Project Manager to lead the prioritisation and removal/mitigation of barriers to fish passage as part of the GYR partnership. She is working collaboratively with our lead partners, Yorkshire Water, the Environment Agency and The Rivers Trust to support our wider vision.

As a Chartered Civil Engineer and Chartered Environmentalist, Kate brings 18 years of experience from consultancy, where her passion was delivering fish passage projects.

Outside of work Kate enjoys family time with her husband and children and exploring the Yorkshire Dales.
